From Digital Impression to Prosthetic Restoration
Meißner, C. / Meißner, I.
The first oral scanners for digital impression-taking came onto the market in 2009. The introduction of digital impression techniques meant that dental laboratories could be directly integrated in the digital workflow. Among other things this resulted in an improvement in the workflow and simplification of the communication between the dentist and dental technician. In the following a colleague and a master dental technician describe their experiences in the dental practice and laboratory after 5 years of digital impression-taking, discuss the advantages and disadvantages and present the varied application options by way of examples.
